DARK AGE Part Ways With Bassist, Seek Replacement
March 20, 2006Hamburg, Germany-based brutal death metallers DARK AGE have parted ways with longtime bassist Torsten Eggert. "We had to realize that Torsten is not able to master the work in the band on the same professional level as it is needed to play in DARK AGE," the band write in a statement. "For Torsten it is not possible to combine the regular rehearsals and touring with the other activities in his life.

DARK AGE will release their first DVD, entitled "Live, So Far...", in April. A clip for the track "Zero", taken from the upcoming DVD, can be viewed at this location.
DARK AGE's most recent studio CD, "Dark Age" (2003),featured a guest appearance by TIAMAT frontman Johan Edlund on two songs, including "Dare to Collapse", which can be heard on the band's MySpace.com page.
